If you have recently changed the engine oil in your Ford Focus Mk3, but the oil warning light continues to stay illuminated on the dashboard, you need to follow this procedure to correctly reset the light manually. First, get into the car and reach the driver's seat, then turn on the ignition while simultaneously pressing the brake and accelerator pedals for about ten seconds. Once the oil light has been reset, release both pedals and turn off the ignition.
