Operation: How to open the blocked fuel door in the Ford Fusion?

In the Ford Fusion, it may happen that the fuel door gets stuck, for example due to a problem with the release button or the lock actuator. In these cases, we can perform the emergency opening of the door by following the simple procedure shown in this video. First, we open the trunk door, then we remove the small panel located on the back of the door, at about halfway up. Next, we locate the green cord and pull it towards us, in order to open the door. At this point, we can either refuel or repair the faulty element.

All you have to do is start the car ignition and then fully open the glove compartment on the passenger side. Locate the two buttons in the right corner and press "Set". At this point the reset is complete and you can turn off the ignition.
