To replace the gear knob on the Ford Fiesta, grip the old knob and rotate it counterclockwise to detach it from its housing at the end of the lever. Once the knob is removed, you can also detach the clips at the base of the leather cover, which can then be removed. After removal, fit the new cover around the lever and then reposition the knob on top of the lever, securing it properly.
