By following these brief steps, you will see how to disassemble and replace the battery in the key fob of a Ford Ranger. First, take your key fob and extract the physical key from inside it; then gently remove the rear plastic cover by prying at the sides, as shown in the video.

At this point, remove the old battery and replace it with a new one of the correct type and the same specification (in this case, a CR 2450 3V); insert it in the correct orientation and refit the rear cover, finally reinserting the physical key!
