To replace the gear knob on a Ford Focus, hold the leather covering of the gear lever steady. While keeping this covering in place, grasp the knob and rotate it counterclockwise to remove it from its housing.

Once the old knob is removed, position the new one on the end of the lever and screw it in. Ensure it is securely fastened and does not cause any issues during gear changes.
