Model: Ford Focus
MK 2, Focus 2
- Years 2004-2011 Do you have problems with your car? Let's see in this video how to disassemble a Ford Focus alternator. We pull the bar located at the bottom left of the dashboard and lift the bonnet putting it in safety, we identify the power supply battery and disconnect the terminals in such a way as not to create problems for us and the car. To remove the alternator of our ford focus we have to remove the left front headlight of the car, then, unscrew the pin positioned on the headlight and extract it from the bumper, then, disconnect the bulbs power supply terminals. We begin to identify the piece on which to intervene, unscrew the pins with a socket wrench, being careful not to damage the cable winding membranes. We lift the car with a column bridge and remove the relative plastic underlay, unscrew all the fastening pins of the alternator, once the disassembly is finished, extract it from the engine compartment. Now we take the new replacement part and insert it into the suitable housing, screw in the locking pins, then, tighten the side pins of the alternator. We check the right voltage with a tester by connecting it to the battery, check to do with the engine running to see if the value indicated by the tester increases. We reassemble the headlight with the respective pins and make sure the car works correctly.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHandbrake adjustment on Ford EcosportFirst remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base. by ScegliAuto More videos
