First, purchase a CR 2032 battery, then remove and extract the emergency key and use a sharp object to pry open the back cover of the remote. Under it, you will find the battery, which you can remove with a sharp object and replace with the new one. Be careful to reposition it in the correct orientation, then reattach the back cover.
