In this video, see how to replace the battery of the Genesis GV70: it uses a common CR2032 button battery, which you can easily find at any supermarket. You will need a small Phillips screwdriver and a flathead screwdriver, which you will use to pry open the remote from the side where the Genesis logo is, at the two notches on the right side of the remote. This will reveal a cover with a cross on it. Now, use the Phillips screwdriver to remove the two small screws holding it in place, and underneath you will find the battery. Replace it, being careful about the polarity, then close the cover with the two small screws and snap the plastic cover with the logo back in place. Remember to dispose of the old battery properly.
