Dismantling and Overhauling the Anti-Roll Bar

Model: Honda Accord MK 5 - Years 1993-1998

First, purchase the anti-roll bar overhaul kit, which includes the rubber bushes for the mounting flanges and the bushings for the ends. Lift the vehicle onto suitable axle stands and remove the wheels. Next, unscrew the mounting bolt of the bar from the wishbone, extract the old rubber bushes, and remove any debris from the metal bushes that will be reused during reassembly. Insert the metal bush onto the bolt, with the first smaller rubber bush facing upwards, slide the bolt into the wishbone, then place the second smaller rubber bush facing downwards, insert the metal washer, the spacer, the other metal washer, the smaller rubber bush facing upwards, the other metal bush, the last smaller rubber bush facing downwards, and finally the last metal washer and nut: ensure everything is aligned and tighten. Now move to the support flange: unscrew the two mounting bolts, remove the flange, and slide off the old support rubber bush, apply the new one, and reposition the flange tightening the respective bolts. Proceed in the same manner on the other side.
