Complete Replacement of Shock Absorbers

Model: Honda Civic MK 7 - Years 2001-2006

Loosen the wheel nuts and lift the vehicle, securing it. Unscrew the bolts and remove the wheel. Unscrew and extract the retaining pins of the arm from the suspension using a 16mm spanner and push them out. Use penetrating spray to facilitate the operation. Also, disconnect the steering tie rod. Using a spanner and a ratchet, remove the suspension bolts and detach the shock absorber. In the engine bay, use a 16mm spanner to unscrew the four bolts at the top of the suspension; perform the same operation on the other shock absorber. Remove the entire suspension assembly and clean off deposits with a wire brush. Compress the spring to allow the worn shock absorber to be extracted and replace it with a new one. Replace the spring and rubber boot if necessary. Reassemble the suspension on the vehicle in reverse order.
