Automatic Gearbox Oil Replacement

Model: Honda Civic MK 8 - Years 2006-2012

Replacing the automatic gearbox oil is a simple operation and very useful to maintain its proper functioning. If possible, lift the vehicle on appropriate axle stands or a hydraulic lift and remove the undertray. The gearbox is located on the passenger side and the drain plug is positioned on the engine side, at the rear. Position a suitable container and unscrew the drain plug. Once the draining is complete, clean the plug of any metallic residues and tighten it properly. Then access the engine compartment to refill the gearbox: the plug is located under the air filter housing.
