Checking and Restoring Oil Level in Automatic Gearbox

Periodically, you need to check the engine oil level, but if you also have an automatic gearbox, it's wise to check that from time to time as well. Oil for an automatic gearbox is essential and should be checked and replaced periodically, though certainly not as frequently as engine oil. For a simple restoration of the optimal level, obtain the suitable oil according to the manufacturer's technical specifications. Open the bonnet and locate the oil dipstick for the gearbox on the right side of the engine bay. Use a funnel due to the awkward position and pour in some oil. Check the level. Drive the car for a short distance, allowing the gearbox to work in all positions, and check the level again. Car Model: HONDA CIVIC Year: 2007
