How to Remove Engine Oil and Change the Filter

In this video, you will see how to remove engine oil and change its filter. First, ensure that the engine temperature is not too high; it is advisable to perform this task when the engine is cold. Use a spanner to remove the bolts securing the undertray beneath the engine compartment. Now locate the oil filter on the side (it has a cylindrical shape and is visibly different from other metal parts of the car). The oil filter is screwed onto the oil reservoir, and this is where you will start. Get a sufficiently large and deep container, locate the screw cap of the reservoir, and allow the oil to drain into the container for about ten minutes. It is recommended to wear disposable gloves to avoid getting oil on your hands and to protect yourself from any high temperatures of the oil. Once done, you can screw the cap back onto the reservoir to move on to the filter. Again, wear gloves and use the container to unscrew the entire filter structure counterclockwise. Allow the oil to drain for a few minutes and then screw in the new filter clockwise.
