Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement

Model: Honda Civic MK 8 - Years 2006-2012

Drive the front wheels of the vehicle onto suitable ramps to facilitate access to the oil sump; place a wedge behind the rear wheel. Open the front bonnet and ensure it is securely supported, then pull out the oil dipstick. Position a suitable container under the oil sump and unscrew the drain plug located at the rear corner of the sump, near the exhaust. Once the oil has drained, screw the plug back in. At this point, unscrew the oil filter and replace it with a new one after coating the gasket with oil. Finally, fill the engine with new oil according to the SAE specifications and the quantities indicated in the user and maintenance manual.
