Changing Engine Oil and Oil Filter

Model: Honda Civic MK 8 - Years 2006-2012

Lift the vehicle with a jack and use axle stands to support it. Then, unscrew the drain plug from the oil sump (located at the rear of the sump, near the exhaust pipe) and collect the used oil in a container. Once the oil has drained, re-tighten the plug and proceed to replace the oil filter located just above the sump; before screwing in the new filter, apply oil to the gasket and tighten it by hand. Finally, fill the engine with new oil according to the SAE specifications and the quantities indicated in the user manual.
