Change Engine Oil and Filter

Changing the oil and filter is a task you can do yourself and is advisable to perform at least once a year, regardless of mileage. Start by removing the plug from the oil sump and allowing the oil to drain into a suitable container. While waiting for all the oil to drain, you can replace the filter using a chain wrench. Before applying the new filter, it is good practice to lubricate the seal with a few drops of the new oil. After replacing the filter and screwing the sump plug back in, you can pour in the new oil through the filler neck.
