Replacing and Maintaining the Exhaust

This job will be much easier if you have a ramp to lift the car. Place supports under the ends of the exhaust to prevent it from falling when the bolts are undone. Use a reciprocating saw to cut the bolts securing the exhaust to the exhaust pipe of the engine, and use a hammer and punch to remove the bolts from the holes. Now, remove the exhaust from the rubber mount, and you can take out the entire exhaust pipe. Next, remove the catalytic converter by detaching the rubber hooks that support it. Now, reposition the new exhaust, ensuring to place the gaskets where necessary.
