Honda CR-V - Video tutorial

Model: Honda CR-V MK 3 - Years 2007-2012
Part: Crankshaft RPM sensor
Operation: Crankshaft rpm sensor replacement

Do you have a problem with reading the engine revs? Is the problem with the camshaft position sensor? No problem I will explain in small steps how to replace it. Let's start to open the engine compartment hood of your car, with a ratchet wrench remove the air filter box after which with a pliers approach the cylinder head and a little further down you will find a blue connector, you have to unplug it to get there to the piece to be replaced, after removing the connector, proceed with the same operation to remove the sensor. Take the new spare part and insert it in place of the old one, using the pliers, after which it reassembles everything following the reverse procedure.

First of all we open the front door, on the driver's side, and start pulling the opening lever of the engine hood, in order to open the lock; then let's move to the front of the vehicle and unhook the tab that we find on the central part, above the manufacturer's emblem, as shown in the video. At this point we block the bonnet with the lateral rod; then we accompany the bonnet down to close it again!
