How to deactivate the passenger airbag on the Hyundai I40

All Hyundai vehicles feature the manual option to deactivate the passenger airbag in order to safely place a child seat on the front seat in case of an accident. To deactivate the passenger airbag on a Hyundai I40 car, we must open the passenger side door and then insert the vehicle key into the side lock in order to turn it towards the OFF symbol. Upon turning on the instrument panel, the message "AIRBAG OFF" will appear on the display. To activate the airbag, we must open the door and after inserting the key, turn it towards the ON option. Upon turning on the instrument panel, the message "AIRBAG ON" will appear on the display.
