How do you replace the battery in the key fob of a Hyundai Santa Fe? Take your key fob and remove the metal key; once the metal key is out, insert it into the slot of the plastic key fob and press inside. When you hear a click, the cover will be open.

Use a small screwdriver to remove the worn battery and take a new one of the same type, then replace it. Refit the cover on your key fob by pressing down until you hear it click into place. Check that the key functions correctly.
