How to Replace the Timing Belt on Hyundai Atos

Prepare to replace the timing belt on the Hyundai Atos: lift the car on a jack (if working from underneath). Open the bonnet, remove the engine soundproofing panel and the belt cover (plastic or metal). Using a suitable spanner, loosen the tensioner pulley and remove the belt from its position. After fitting the new belt, use the spanner to tension the tensioner pulley until the correct tension is achieved on the belt (previously fitted). Finally, check the tensioner and the belt itself, tightening everything with a socket spanner.
