Ignition Coil Replacement

Model: Hyundai Elantra XD, MK 3 - Years 2000-2006

Open the front bonnet and locate the ignition coils: they are near the air filter housing, to the side of the engine (you can recognise them by the four cables that go to the spark plugs): remove the plastic cover from above the engine and disconnect the connector attached to the coils, unscrew the respective fixing pins from the rear and move them from their position. Bring the new coils close to swap the spark plug cables one at a time, ensuring their positions are correct. Secure the coils again by tightening the respective fixing pins.
