How to Replace the Oil and Oil Filter on the Hyundai Palisade

Model: Hyundai Palisade LX2, MK 1 - Years 2019-2026

To change the oil and oil filter on the Hyundai Palisade, start by putting the vehicle on ramps at the front. Using a wrench, remove the screws that hold the oil pan and oil filter cover. Once the screws are removed, take off the two clips and remove the plate. With the plate removed, use a socket wrench to unscrew the oil drain plug and let the oil drain into a container below. While the oil drains, use a socket wrench to unscrew the oil filter container, placing another container underneath. After removing the oil filter container, let the oil drain out, then take the oil filter out of the container and remove the old gasket. Take the new gasket and place it where the old one was. Clean the oil drain plug, install the new filter into the container, and screw it back into place with a socket wrench. Also, clean the oil drain plug seat and screw the oil drain plug back in. Now you can refill with oil according to the liters specified by the manufacturer. When you are close to the specified liters, remove the vehicle from the ramps, take the oil dipstick, check the oil level, and if necessary, top it off; otherwise, the operation is complete.
