How to Perform a Service on Hyundai Tucson

This video tutorial shows how to perform a service on a Hyundai Tucson. The service should be done with the engine warm. For this operation, you will need two socket wrenches: a 27 mm for the oil filter cap and a 17 mm for unscrewing the oil drain plug. Lift the car using a mobile ramp or hydraulic jack and place safety stands under the vehicle. Raise the bonnet and secure it; now with a 27 mm socket, remove the oil filter cap by turning it counter-clockwise and take out the filter; check the gasket and replace it if necessary. Oil the gasket and refit the filter in its place. Remove the underpanel to access the oil sump. Position a container for the used oil under the oil sump; unscrew the oil drain plug with a 17 mm socket, waiting for all the oil to drain into the container. In the meantime, check the plug and replace it with a new one if it is faulty, also change the washer. Once all the oil has drained, reposition the oil plug without overtightening (a quarter turn). Now lower the car and top up the engine oil (5W-30) using a funnel; check the level with the appropriate dipstick.
