How to Replace the Key Battery on the Hyundai Tucson

Model: Hyundai Tucson TL, MK 3 - Years 2015-2021

To replace the battery in the Hyundai Tucson key, first extract the emergency key by pressing the small release button on the side of the key. Take a screwdriver and pry along the seam of the two halves that make up the key, lift the rear half of the key and locate the battery in the other half, slide the battery retaining clip and remove it. Take the new battery (CR 2032) and reposition it, ensuring the correct orientation (positive pole facing up). Then close the battery retaining clip and press the two halves back together until they click. Finally, reinsert the emergency key.
