Instructions for Replacing the Number Plate Light

Model: Hyundai Sonata - Years 2004-2014
Part: License plate light

The number plate lights are integrated into the lower strip of the rear bonnet, just below the manufacturer's badge: unscrew the fixing screws of the light units to remove them from their respective housings; then unclip the bulb holder by turning it anti-clockwise and extract the old bulb (T10 fitting); fit the new bulb and, if it is LED type, ensure it lights up; if not, rotate it 180 degrees as LEDs have a polarity that must be respected; once both bulbs are replaced, reposition the bulb holders and reattach the light units under the edge of the bonnet.

How to Open the Bonnet on the Lancia Y

To open the bonnet on this vehicle, follow these simple instructions: first, open the driver's door and locate the lever positioned just below the dashboard, marked with an image of the vehicle with the bonnet open.
