Replacing the gearbox oil is a maintenance task that is often overlooked and is frequently not included in the manufacturer's maintenance schedule. It is clear that running the gears in fresh, clean oil is optimal, so it is recommended to change the oil every 37,000 miles, especially considering that generally no more than 2 kg is required.

Perform this maintenance with the engine cold, as the drain plug is located just above the exhaust. Lift the vehicle on suitable axle stands and remove the splash guard.

Then, unscrew both the filler cap and the drain plug to facilitate drainage. Clean the drain plug and refit it before adding the new oil: the level is reached when oil starts to overflow.

How to Remove the Rear Seat of a Hyundai Tucson?

To remove the rear seat of a Hyundai Tucson, follow these steps. Start by moving the front seats to their most forward position to gain space. Next, locate the release lever on the underside of the rear seat, near the floor. Press this lever down while pulling the seat upwards to unlock it from the anchor pins.
