In today's video, we will see the main steps that will assist us in the process of dismantling the automatic gearbox of the Jaguar S-Type 4.2 V8. First, lift the vehicle and start by draining the transmission oil; then use a socket spanner to undo all the screws of the automatic gearbox casing, in order to decouple it from the clutch assembly. At this point, disconnect the various wiring and sensors of the automatic transmission, including the oil transport pipes; dismantle the torque converter and remove the gearbox!
