Removing the glove compartment of a Jaguar X Type is a very simple task, easily performed independently with the help of this short video tutorial. Start by removing the panel underneath the compartment. Once this is removed, you can proceed to take out the compartment itself. Using a cross-head screwdriver, remove the screws underneath, as shown in the video. Continue the removal using a 27 mm Torx key to take out the two outer screws and the two inner screws. Once all screws are removed, you can easily extract the compartment from its housing.
