Operation: How to change the front light bulb on the Jaguar X-Type

Replacing the headlight bulb (H1 socket) on this model of Jaguar is quite easy since it is not necessary to disassemble the headlight; however, to release the springs that hold the headlight protection cap in place, a folded tool is required to reach the one on the outside of the right headlight, since the ABS system is in front of it; apart from this, once the clips have been released and the cap removed, the spring that holds the bulb in place must be released in order to extract it, disconnect the relative power socket and then proceed backwards to install the new one.
