To adjust the handbrake on a Jeep Wrangler, lift the vehicle so that you can loosen the bolts securing the right rear wheel: once these bolts are loosened, you can completely remove the wheel to access the brake drum underneath. Inside the drum, you will find the shoes that regulate the handbrake operation: tightening the shoe nut will make the handbrake firmer; conversely, loosening the nut will reduce the handbrake travel and loosen it.
