How do you adjust the handbrake on a Jeep Wrangler Sport?

Model: Jeep Wrangler JL, MK 4 - Years 2018-2026

Adjusting the handbrake is not difficult, let yourself be guided by these few steps. Make sure to park on a flat surface, put the car in neutral and pull up the handbrake. Then go under the Jeep and look for the handbrake cable near the transmission shaft. You should see an adjustment nut, tighten it with a wrench until the handbrake lever becomes stiffer, but be careful not to overdo it. Then get back in the car and lower and raise the handbrake lever twice to check that it locks the wheels well without being too hard. If you notice that the brake activates too late or too early, readjust the nut until you find the right balance. Now you are ready to hit the road, but if you encounter issues with this procedure, contact a trusted mechanic.
