How do you change the battery of a Jeep Compass key fob? Follow this video: take your key fob and slide the button to release the metal key. Once extracted, use a screwdriver to pry between the two key covers. Lever it until the two covers separate. Remove the dead battery with a screwdriver and take a new one of the same size and voltage. Reassemble the two parts of the cover with the buttons by pressing on the key fob until you hear the locking click. Finally, insert the metal key back into the key fob. Check the proper functioning of the key fob.
