How the Start and Stop System Works in the Jeep Renegade

In the Jeep Renegade, as well as in other vehicles, the Start and Stop system is designed to turn off the engine when the gearbox is in neutral and the driver releases the clutch. The engine restarts when the driver presses the clutch pedal again and engages first gear. There are certain conditions that can prevent the Start and Stop system from functioning, causing it to deactivate automatically: for example, when the engine has not yet reached the optimal operating temperature, or when the battery is not in good condition. Another important factor is if the air conditioning is on, which creates a difference between the ambient temperature and the required temperature.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after. This way, you can check that the oil mark is between the minimum and maximum levels; finally, you can place the dipstick back in its tube.
