How to Replace the Serpentine Belt on a Jeep Cherokee

Model: Jeep Cherokee XJ, MK 2 - Years 1984-2001

Before you begin, open the front bonnet to gain the necessary space to work. Start by removing the front fan by unscrewing the upper bolts that secure it and pulling it out of the engine bay. Next, loosen the bolts securing the power steering pump. This will loosen the serpentine belt enough for you to remove it. To fit the new belt, simply follow these instructions in reverse. Once the new belt is fitted, securely refit the power steering pump and reinstall the radiator fan, and you will have successfully completed the replacement.
