How to Replace the Key Fob Battery of the Jeep Renegade (2021)

If the battery of the Jeep Renegade 2021 key fob stops working, the battery is likely flat. This tutorial shows you how to change it; it's a quick and easy task. You will need a small flathead screwdriver and a new battery, model CR2032 at 3 V. Take the key fob, slide the mechanical latch on the back to the side, and remove the emergency key. Insert a flathead screwdriver into the slot next to the emergency key slot to gently open the cover and separate the casing with your fingers. Use the screwdriver to extract the old battery and insert the new one with the positive terminal facing down. Now, reassemble the casing and close it with a click. Reinsert the emergency key, and you're done. For any doubts, consult the vehicle's user and maintenance manual.
