To replace the gear knob on a Jeep Wrangler, grasp the knob and rotate it counterclockwise, using a spanner if necessary. Once the knob has been unscrewed, you can pull it off the top of the gear lever; this will allow you to insert a new one by simply screwing it on and reversing the removal process. After the new knob has been securely fastened, check that it is firmly in place and that the gearbox operates correctly.
