First, take the remote in hand and remove the physical key from inside it by sliding the button; then, use something thin and pointed to pry open the sides of the remote, splitting it into two parts as shown in the video.

At this point, access the electronic board and the battery; remove the old battery and replace it with the new one, applying the reverse procedure!

How to open the bonnet on a Volkswagen Golf?
