Let's see how the safety systems of the Jeep Compass work. First, turn on the instrument cluster.

From the infotainment system, access the 'Settings' menu at the bottom, then the 'Safety' submenu, and then 'Driver Assistance'. By clicking the arrow in the top right, you can access the emergency braking feature, which can be disabled or set to only sound an alert or activate both the alert and emergency braking.

You can also adjust the sensitivity of the sensor: close, medium, or far; this depends on your reflex response.

Now, let's look at the 'Lane Sense' which detects a shift from the lane without indicating. In this case, the vehicle vibrates the steering wheel and emits an audible warning.

From the screen, it can be set according to your preferences. The system can be turned off by pressing the button in the bottom right of the four-way indicator button.

When the light is on, the system is off. A warning also appears on the instrument cluster. From the same Lane Sense menu, you can also set some preferences regarding the parking sensors and the rear camera.
