Replacing the key battery of a Jeep Compass is a straightforward process that you can do yourself. First, remove the metal key stored inside the shell by pressing the button on the remote.

Next, insert the key back into the slot from which it was removed to lever it open and access the remote. Then, remove the battery from the remote.

After that, insert the new battery. Finally, close the remote by aligning the parts and reinsert the key into the shell.
