When the engine oil light on your Jeep Compass Mk2 continues to illuminate even after you have changed the oil and the corresponding filter, it indicates a minor error. To resolve this, simply perform a manual reset of the light.

First, take your seat in the driver's position and turn on the ignition. As soon as the Jeep logo appears, press the accelerator pedal three times, then turn off the vehicle.

Finally, repeat the same steps a second time, and you are done.
