Removing the battery on a Kia Soul? Let's look at replacing the damaged battery. Open the car door and pull up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, lift the bonnet, and secure it. Once the engine compartment is open, you will find the battery to be replaced. Remove the securing nuts from the battery terminals using a socket spanner. Once free from cables and plastics, take out the battery. Install a new battery in the engine compartment (same voltage). Close the bonnet after installation. Start the car and check its operation.
