Front Shock Absorber Replacement

Model: Kia Carnival MK 2, VQ - Years 2006-2014

To replace the front shock absorbers, first obtain the appropriate clamps to compress the spring. Lift the vehicle on a ramp, remove the front wheel, disconnect the link from the shock absorber bracket and the cable ties. Unscrew and remove the mounting pins of the shock absorber from the hub support to free it and access the engine bay. Remove the plastic cover under the windscreen to access the top mount and detach the shock absorber support. Once the shock absorber is removed from its seat, apply the clamps to the spring and compress it enough to remove the support from the shaft and extract the spring and gaiter to fit onto the new shock absorber, then proceed in reverse.
