How to Replace the Remote Battery on the Kia Ceed

In this mini guide, learn how to quickly and correctly replace the remote battery on your first-generation Kia Ceed (2006-2012). First, remove the physical emergency key from inside the cover by pressing the button on the back cover and pulling the metal top towards you. Once removed, use it to unscrew the back cover of the remote and locate the flat battery. Finally, remove the old battery and replace it with a new one of the same model.
