In this video tutorial we can see how it is possible to replace the petrol filter in a 2001 Lada Niva 1.7, following a few simple steps: the first thing to do is to buy an original, new and quality diesel filter, at an authorized dealer. Lift the engine hood and secure it with the special rod; remove the fastening strap from the spare wheel and remove it from its seat. Unscrew the fixing bolt (use a ratchet socket wrench) of the filter guard. Once the protection is removed, we have access to the petrol filter. Before fitting the new filter we need to check the arrow which serves to indicate the direction of the fuel. With a 17 wrench we have to unscrew the nuts of the pipes. Loosen also the nut of the clamp and then we can remove the filter from its seat. Install the new filter and reassemble all parts, in reverse order.
