How to install central locking on the Lancia Ypsilon

Installing the universal central locking control unit on a Lancia Y model 1 is an operation that, despite the difficulties, can be carried out independently. The kit can be purchased online or at auto parts stores. To install the kit, we must first remove the passenger side glove box in order to access the fuse box and relays. We remove the fuse box by unscrewing the two cross screws that secure the bracket, in order to have better access to the locking relay. We disconnect the cables that are deemed unnecessary by the relay in order to add the connection of the new cables and remove the central locking relay to insert the universal central locking relay. After installing the kit as shown in the video, we can reassemble the glove box and program the new key for opening and closing the vehicle.
