How to Remove the Battery from a Lancia Ypsilon

Model: Lancia Ypsilon 843, MK 2, Ypsilon 2, Y2 - Years 2003-2011

Start by opening the front bonnet of your Lancia Ypsilon to access the internal battery. Next, remove the upper cover of the positive terminal by simply unclipping the rear hooks. Once done, unclip the quick-release of the negative terminal and disconnect it. To remove the positive terminal, unscrew the fixing bolt and then simply pull the terminal out of its housing. After removing both terminals, take off a fabric strap that secures the battery by unscrewing the corresponding fixing bolt. This will free the battery, allowing you to remove it, completing the disassembly.

How to Open the Bonnet on the Lancia Y

To open the bonnet on this vehicle, follow these simple instructions: first, open the driver's door and locate the lever positioned just below the dashboard, marked with an image of the vehicle with the bonnet open.
