How to replace the cabin filter in a Lancia Ypsilon

To replace the air conditioning filter in the Lancia Ypsilon, first remove the passenger side mat for easier access. Then, using a Torx key size 25, remove the lower panel of the centre tunnel on the passenger side. The filter is located right underneath, but it is not clipped in; it is held in place by two screws of size 5.5, which you will need to unscrew and remove. You will also need to disconnect the wiring connector and a couple of wires that may get in the way. Remove the filter, clean the inside of the compartment, and fit the new one, ensuring the airflow direction is correct. However, there is another wire to disconnect before refitting the new filter! Reattach its cover with the screws. Now, reposition all the wires you moved to carry out the job. Refit the partition and then the mat. The job is complete.
