Dismantling Car Radio and Satellite Navigator

Model: Lancia Thesis MK 1 - Years 2002-2009

The first tip is to protect the gear lever knob and the side trims of the centre console with masking tape to prevent scratches during disassembly.
First, remove the central trim of the dashboard, located just below the air vents and passing under the instrument cluster, then the ashtray drawer.
Next, remove the four fixing screws (two above and two below) of the centre console, disconnect the plugs connected to the display, and remove the console itself.
Then unscrew the fixing screws of the metal support of the car radio, disconnect the plugs connected to it, and extract it: now you can dismantle the car radio from the metal support and replace it with the satellite navigator.
Reconnect the relevant plugs to the satellite navigator and secure the support with the screws previously removed. Then reconnect the display plugs and secure the centre console with the four screws. Reinsert the ashtray drawer, remove the masking tape, and reattach the central trim.
Finally, check the correct functioning of the satellite navigator.
