Replacing the Key Battery on a Land Rover Freelander

Press the tab at the end of the casing to extract the manual key from the fob. Using a small flathead screwdriver or a plastic wedge (or even the manual key itself), pry open the casing at the exposed seam to separate it into two halves. Use the small flat screwdriver to extract the battery from its compartment. Insert the new battery and reassemble the fob in reverse order until it is fully reassembled. This is a very simple operation that anyone can do.
